The 13th amendment (ending slavery and the brutal treatment of the millions of voiceless slaves) and HR 5628 are protective measures for US citizens from abuse and slave-like treatment. A bill for protecting American school children from "sanctioned" and "lawless" abuse entitled, "Ending Corporal Punishment in Schools Act," HR 5628 was introduced June 29, 2010 by NY Rep. Carolyn McCarthy. Our Congressional leaders are failing to allow this bill to pass by avoiding becoming signatories of this bill. 24 signatures are needed from the Education Committee Dept. and 1 signatory must be a Republican. 16 Ed Comm.
