    WikiDict is a mashup, which uses Wikipedia to get the translation of any keyword.

    With the help of Wikipedia WikiDict can find translations in more than 150 languages.

  • What's the source of the translations?

    The translations are taken from Wikipedia. Wikipedia is available in many languages, with the option to link corresponding articles in the different languages.

    WikiDict uses this links between the national sites and shows the translation of the keyword you are searching for.

  • What are the info-boxes at the right side for?

    • Top-Results

      Here you can find the 5 keywords with the most existing translations with the number of translations in parenthesis. Since Wikipedia is a very dynamical project and therefore also WikiDict, the number of results in this list can differ to the current number of found translations.

    • Top-Searches

      Here you can find the 25 most searched keywords shown as a tagcloud.

    • Last searches

      Here you can find the 5 last searched keywords with the number of translations in parenthesis.

    • Last entries

      Here you can find the 5 last posted translations of a WikiDict-user with the language code in parenthesis.

  • Can WikiDict translate complete sentences?

    No. Because of the concept of WikiDict is this not possible.

  • What represents the number in the logo?

    These is a small secret, what should be easy to found out. smile

  • How can I help?

    The only possible help is to support Wikipedia. The more keywords are corrent linked in Wikipedia, the merrier translations WikiDict can find.
