I'll start 2012 with a beautiful story with a beautiful ending, in this beautiful New Year... On 8:46 min.the mother camel starts to weep... Music: "Sad Romance" by composer Thao Nguyen Xanh Images from the 2003 movie "The Story of the Weeping Camel" South Mongolia, Gobi Desert The plot is about a family of nomadic shepherds assists the births of their camel herd. One of the camels has an excruciatingly difficult delivery, but with help from the family, after two days, out comes a rare white colt. Despite the efforts of the shepherds, the mother rejects the newborn, refusing it her milk and her motherly love. When any hope for the little one seems to have vanished, the nomads then resolve to secure the services of an indigenous 'violinist' to play the music for a Mongolian 'Hoos' ritual, their only hope for saving the colt's life... Immediately after the rite the mother and calf are reconciled and the calf draws milk from her teat. The mother camel starts to weep, tears visibly streaming from her eyes. I have no doubt that those tears express her joy, nor do the filmmakers doubt it. This first-ever film in the Mongolian language is a masterpiece, a simply told story of a two-humped Bactrian camel: "Ingen Temee" and its calf: "Botok" and the family in whose keeping they thrive. My words: "If watching the flowering of love could inspire love, then The Story of the Weeping Camel would forever alter the world..." Ine♥´¯`•.¸¸★°•.☆.•° www.ine-pps.nl www.facebook.com plus
